Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School (VBS) is held each summer, usually in July, and is designed to offer many children the opportunity to learn about God's love and about Jesus within a very active, fun-filled and creative setting.
Many volunteers are used for this program--both youth and adults. We provide a nursery, supper for the workers and families, and programs for children from three years old to those children who are starting in the 5th grade in September.
This program is often the highlight of a Granbury First child's Christian year, and many enjoy it so much that they bring friends who are non-members to participate.
Granbury First has a mission project as a part of each VBS. This summer activity closes the 4- to 5-day project with a program for families and friends to come and see their crafts, hear what they have learned, and to witness the dedication of money received which goes to a designated mission project.
