Food Pantry
Non perishable foods are distributed to families in need weekly through the church office. Open Monday through Friday from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. If you are in need of food, contact the church office to sign up for assistance. If you would like donate food, you can leave it at the Welcome Center Desk or in bins provided at each doorway. If you would like to volunteer in the pantry, need information, help with a food drive, or would like to sponsor a food drive please call the church office at 817-573-5573.
Brazos River Acres
Distributes groceries weekly to approximately 160 families living in the Brazos River Acres area. If you live in the Brazos River Acres area and are in need of food or would like to volunteer, please call Terry McNew at 817-408-5533 to sign up for assistance or come to Brazos River Acres Baptist Church, 2201 Mitchell Bend Hwy., on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. to fill out an application.
Oak Trail Shores
Distributes groceries weekly to approximately 100 families living in the Oak Trail Shores area. If you live in the Oak Trail Shores area and are in need of food or would like to volunteer, please call Helen Best at 817-579-1521 to sign up for assistance. Distribution site: Ruth's Place at Oak Trail Shores, 2723 Maplewood. Hours: Tuesdays, 3:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. You must contact Helen by phone prior to filling out your application.
Sandwich Ministry
Meets weekly in the church kitchen and each person brings bread, bologna, cheese, cookies or plastic bags as a personal donation to the ministry. About 100 sandwiches are prepared and then delivered to Brazos River Acres to be distributed during their weekly grocery distribution. If you are interested in volunteering or donating supplies to this ministry, please call Bill Horne at 817-578-2326.
Tarrant Area Food Bank
Granbury First is a member of the Tarrant Area Food Bank. Volunteers pick up food each week for grocery distribution by the church's food ministries. Volunteers also donate their time at the Food Bank with their hours worked credited to Granbury First to help offset the cost of food purchases. If you would like to volunteer, please call David Stockbridge at 817-573-7168.
Brandon's Hope After-School Program
Through the partnership of Baccus Elementary School and Granbury First, Brandon's Hope seeks to provide a welcoming and safe after-school setting for the students of Baccus Elementary. This program aims to create a nurturing environment of learning and fellowship. An important aspect of this program is the emphasis on ‘study/homework time.'

ESL (English as Second Language)
These classes are offered September through May. Child care is provided thus removing the biggest obstacles to this program. Learning English is essential to many residents living in our community.
GED
These classes are offered September through May. Child care is provided thus removing the biggest obstacles to success for many people.
Healthy Kids
This summer lunch program runs May through August and delivers lunches to underprivileged children in their neighborhoods during the summer months when they do not have access to school lunches.
Summer Reading Program
Operates along side Healthy Kids; reading to children, distributing books and generally helping them retain their reading skills during the summer months.
Thanksgiving Lunch
The Saturday before Thanksgiving our church serves a free Thanksgiving meal to those in the community who might not have the opportunity to celebrate.
Youth Mission Trips
Through annual stock sale, supply funding for youth in Christ's service.
Operation School Supplies
Church members participate in donating school supplies for distribution to needy families in August.
Adult Mission Trip
Church members travel to Espanola, New Mexico each year in September to perform various tasks at McCurdy mission school for underprivileged children.
Heifer Project
Children give their change each Sunday during the children's sermon to purchase farm animals and/or plants for families in disadvantaged areas.
Hood County Christmas for Children
Church members participate each December in donating and distributing Christmas gifts to underprivileged children.
Blanket Drive
The cold weather season will be offset by a church-wide drive to supply blankets to those in need.
Box Fan Drive
The Texas summer heat will be offset by a church wide drive to supply fans to those in need.
